Welcome to VOX!

VOX means “voice” in Latin and is therefore a fitting name for our mission: treating the diminished voice in people with Parkinson Disease through the esteemed Lee Silverman Voice Treatment program, known as LSVT™ LOUD, which we provide virtually through a secure Zoom portal.

LSVT™ LOUD is the gold standard for treating the diminshed voice in people with Parkinson Disease.  Because it requires an intensive treatment course (four times per week for four consecutive weeks with speech-language pathologist certified in the program) the sheer number of trips to a clinic can create a logistical barrier for many people, and be entirely impossible for others.

Research has demonstrated comparable treatment outcomes in groups receiving LSVT™ LOUD virtually compared to in-person treatment groups! We are excited to offer the convenience of this modality to anyone with PD who is still working and can’t get to a clinic during regular business hours, who might experience transportation difficulties with the frequency required, or who would just generally prefer to have high quality LSVT™ LOUD treatment from the convenience of home.

Please read more about LSVT here and about the primary clinician, Laura Martin, here.  Laura has been a speech-language pathologist for over 17 years and has been an  LSVT™LOUD certified clinician since 2008.
